Courage the Cowardly dog frightfully pumping water from his well.
Even Courage the Cowardly Dog was afraid, but he persisted.

Why is it that everyone is so afraid in an era where we have no secrets or privacy?

Not even our body parts are secret. Social media has only made people feel closer and yet still so far apart. I go on threads and instead of getting people who agree with me I get faceless bots or cowards spewing crude opinions behind a blank profile.

Say it to my face. Seriously.
Everyone is so [excuse my French] pussy. Yes, I said it. You all are so scared to be judged and cancelled for saying and doing the right thing and yet you still complain as if nothing will ever change.

It takes one earthquake to make a tsunami. It takes multiple voices to wake a nation.

Everyone is so afraid of ruining their reputation they can’t even break away from the world of materialism for a second.

Wake up. Nothing will change unless something is said, something is done, or a movement is made.

In A Bug’s Life, they all stood up as an ARMY to face the grasshoppers and overthrow them. And no, it didn’t go without sacrifices, it didn’t go without strife- but with help we can make a change.

We just have to have devotion. We have to be firm in our stance. We can’t be afraid. Our ancestors were afraid and fought tooth and nail with one idea in mind. They’re coming for everyone’s rights, and I don’t have to make this a race thing because women are the most at risk right now.

As a society we are neither walking forward or backwards. We are stagnant, viewing the atrocities we’ve ignored because we can’t see them. Deliberating whether or not it’s more important to stay silent, especially in the age where are speech is at its most free.

We are starting to see the holes in our ways of life, and falling through them. There are more misunderstandings than understandings, and nuance is apparently… taught.

One thing I know for sure, is that I’ll never shut my mouth and I’ll never keep quiet. Those who do the complaining solve problems or either point them out for everyone to see.

I signed up to be a teacher, an activist and a storyteller. I’m not backing down now, not when we were actually going to change the world.
