Sharing feelings and hardship in this day and age feels so burdensome. I’ve heard plenty of people complain about their situations and some people have incomparable lives altogether.
I hate sharing anecdotes of my life because there are people who look down on you for having hardship or conflict.
I have a friend that is alright with putting herself in the middle of conflict but not okay with resolving it, because she simply doesn’t care enough to put to the time and energy into doing so.
People don’t care anymore. Not like they used to. People are opportunists and will run to the next good time leaving you to your lonesome.
The village they spoke about and the village that raised us, is no longer there. They are individuals, and as pack animals, we are forced into evolving to lone wolves.
Whether it is your own family or your peers, the village is desolate.
My village was desolate. What mother? What father? I must have been raised by sea turtles.
Hyper independence is trauma, being so used to failure from others, and only opting to do things for myself. I lessen my lifespan by forgetting about those around me, as if they weren’t there. Like they aren’t there to help.
Some people want you to fail at surviving so you can come crawling to them.
I don’t want to survive anymore. I want to live. There was a couple times where I lived, when the world was in HI-DEF and the colors and sounds were lush- just to go back to the monochromatic world I see everyday.
I fill the world in with my own color, but they have rules and regulations for me to keep my colors only gray and black.
To look down on your neighbor for how they were raised or their current situation is materialistic and we fall for the materialism one way or another.
