The human psyche is often plagued by many different emotions on the regular, happiness sometimes can be rare in times like these but when it is there- it’s almost intoxicating. As humans, we chase happiness (serotonin and the occasional dopamine) and pleasure, are often met with disappointment or a hopeful feeling that may just push you to the next objective.

Grief is an occasional feeling that can chase you forever depending on what the it is attached to. Yes, it is closely related to sadness- but largely attributed to a sense of loss. That sense of loss can follow you anywhere you go, through objects, sound and even sight.

Grief can be dealt with by distraction or facing it head on. However one thing about grief is that it completely consume you, since what is lost cannot be obtained once again- it must be gotten over and mentally overcome.

I’ve dealt with grief, but it doesn’t quite hurt as much until reality hits and it becomes something much bigger to deal with. It is then we have to confront the demons that come along with grief, and until will challenge it in its path it will not lessen.

Apologies and sentiments of love are appreciated when people are alive, it when they’re dead those sentiments go often unheard and reach blankspace.

So please remember to send love to your loved ones, grief tends to be weaker when we have said what we have to say.
